Playlist 3/14/15

a2712726311_10The new album from Future Hits is worth checking out.  Today is Forever is excellent indie songwriting for families from Chicago, recorded in both English and Spanish, with bilingual liner notes.  REALLY good stuff.  Fans of Bill Callahan should take notice.

Lots of new music this week (links below), featuring songs in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, Pi Day, fun with words, songs about dogs and make believe animals.

This is the first time we’ve updated the blog in a really long while but we’re still on the air, playing music for kids and families most Saturdays from 9-10 AM EST on 88.1 FM, WRFL in Lexington KY, or stream live at http://wrfl.fm.  If you’re interested in seeing what we play from week to week, you can search for any of the artists below on WRFL’s website, click Amberly’s name in the column on the right, and see what she’s been playing for at least the past year.
