This Week…..

The Lexington Public Library is presenting its second concert in the Wizard Rock series Monday, March 10th at 6pm. This show features Gred & Forge, The Remus Lupins, and Tom Riddle and Friends. The performance is suitable for all ages, free of charge and will be held at the library’s downtown location.

UK Opera continues its performance of Hansel and Gretel this weekend. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm.

Tuesday, March 11th, the Lexington Philharmonic presents “Lincoln: The Man, the Music, and the Legacy,” as part of their Discovery Concert series. This performance resurrects the music and dance that were popular in Lincoln’s time, in celebration of the famous Kentuckian’s 200th birthday. The concert will be held at the Singletary Center for the Arts, on the UK campus, at 10:00 am and again at 11:30 am. Follow this link for more information.

And finally, I’ll be giving away another musical instrument on Ages 3 and Up! this week. Tune in to find out what it is! Also, I’ve got a LOT of great new music to play -so much, in fact that I’ve been unable to pick a favorite (EEK!). Check back next week for my playlist and some reviews.
