"The place where three really IS a magic number!" A radio program for kids and families that airs Saturdays from 9-10 AM EST on WRFL, 88.1 FM in Lexington KY.

Playlist 4/12/08

This week I played lots of music, including a set of songs about clocks. “Why clocks?” you might ask. Well, I played songs about clocks because we are counting down the minutes until WRFL’s FreeKY Fest!

The festival is a celebration of WRFL‘s 20th birthday. It happens Saturday, April 26th on top of the transit center in downtown Lexington, Ky. FreeKY Fest features 12 hours of music, all kinds of dancing, GIANT MONSTERS (friendly ones), good food and fun! Lots of great bands are going to be there, including The Apples in Stereo, Jolie Holland, The Coup, Mahjongg, Hair Police, The Health and Happiness Family Gospel Band and Big Fresh. The show kicks off at 11 a.m. with a concert for kids, featuring Robbert Bobbert and the Bubble Machine, Pezhead and the Blipsquad, Rakadu Gypsy Dance (bellydancers), and Snow Monster! And FreeKY Fest is, as it’s name would imply, absolutely FREE to attend. Yay!
